Why Don’t People Get Karl Rove?
Why don’t people get Karl Rove? Did you ever see the video where he was rapping–hilarious. Everybody takes him way too seriously. Take the press reports of his trip to the University of Iowa. The Rovemeister engaged in good natured heckling with the students in the audicence–the kind of stuff Carson used to do all the time. All the press reports are about how he got heckled, but nothing could be further from the truth.
At one point Rove told the students, “You got a chance to ask your questions later and make your stupid statements, let me make mine.” You can’t tell me that that isn’t funny. I’m sure the students absolutely loved the verbal sparring too. This is Iowa not Berkley folks–I guarantee the audience was mostly Republican and loving every minute of it.
Toward the end of his speech, one audience member shouted out, “Can we have our $40,000 back?” Rove replied, “No, you can’t.” ZING! POW! This is verbal give and take of the kind that college students love. What would you prefer, “Don’t tase me bro”? Not everybody likes Karl Rove, but this doesn’t sound like hate to me–it sounds like fun. As Carson would say “May your spinster sister cough up a yak hairball” Hayo!!
