Congratulations China!!
China’s move towards Western Style Government continues unabated as the grand old dragon adapts reforms and increasing freedom for the billions living in the world’s largest country. This week the US State Department issued its 2007 Human Rights Report and guess who was removed from the list of the world’s worst violators of human rights? Can you say CHINA?!!
This day has been long overdue in coming and in my opinion has been greatly helped by US investment in the country by companies like Walmart who have mobilized the large country into a lean mean work force. China has come a long way since the days of the Cultural Revolution or even the Tiananmen Square protests of just 15 years ago.
With the trial of Hu Jia for subversion this week China again steps into the forefront as an emerging country with a fair and just judicial system. Let’s hope they pass this test too.
