A house apparently is just one thing Rekzo helped Obama with. It turns out that Edwin J. Gray the head of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board was coerced into calling off an investigation of Rezko by Obama and 4 other US Senators who had received campaign contributions from Rezko.
In addition to campaign contributions, Michelle Obama and her father had invested $359,100 in a Rezko shopping center in April 2006, a year before Obama met with the regulators. The Obamas sometimes accompanied by their daughters and baby-sitter, had made at least nine trips at Rezko’s expense, sometimes aboard his private jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Rezko’s opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. Obama also did not pay Rezko for some of the trips. It seems there is more to this Rezko thing than first appeared. Any politician who would attempt to cheat the system in this way does not deserve to be President.
Interesting. Is there a newspaper source? I would like to read more. Why is it that the “wives” always do the investing in these schemes? Don’t women know to look out for that?

It looks like you’ve got an exclusive there, Nate. But it seems to ring a bell. From some time back, seems to me…Can’t remember now, but I’m sure it’ll come to me.

I wish I could give my sources on this one, but I promised a friend I wouldn’t. He has a source from the trial. This will be very public in a big way within a week my friend assures me.

I like Obama a lot. I voted for him and hope to get a chance to vote for him in November. But if any politician has engaged in this kind of thing, I think he owes us all some straight talk.

Could this be why he freaked out when someone looked at his pass-port records, I thought his reaction was a little over the top.

New Obama News!!! « Obama who ?
April 5, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Obamedia conceals negative info about Oblahma – such as his LYING about his father’s connection to the Kennedys – easily debunked by the Washington Post last Sunday with tons of available documentation.
Obama has repeated this false narrative in speeches and rallies – but Obama didn’t want to access google for the Truth and lose out on the Kennedy endorsement and Camelot halo.
Obama is a con.

The above link is from Wikipedia:
Corruption allegations
In October 1989 The Arizona Republic reported that in addition to campaign contributions, McCain’s wife and her father had invested $359,100 in a Keating shopping center in April 1986, a year before McCain met with the regulators. The paper also reported that the McCains, sometimes accompanied by their daughter and baby-sitter, had made at least nine trips at Keating’s expense, sometimes aboard the American Continental jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Keating’s opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. McCain also did not pay Keating for some of the trips until years after they were taken, after he learned that Keating was in trouble over Lincoln. [1] Lincoln Savings and Loan’s collapse is said to have cost taxpayers $3.4 billion [2].

Nate, You needed to Google this information:
John McCain Took At Least Nine Undisclosed Trips at Keating’s Expense, Flew on Keating Jet. “The paper also reported that the McCains, sometimes accompanied by their daughter and baby-sitter, had made at least nine trips at Keating’s expense, sometimes aboard the American Continental jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Keating’s opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. McCain also did not pay Keating for some of the trips until years after they were taken, after he learned that Keating was in trouble over Lincoln. Total cost: $13,433.” [Arizona Republic, 3/1/07]
McCain’s Wife, Father-in-Law Invested in Keating Company. “On Oct. 8, 1989, The Arizona Republic revealed that McCain’s wife and her father had invested $359,100 in a Keating shopping center in April 1986, a year before McCain met with the regulators.” [Arizona Republic, 3/1/07]
McCain Regularly Intervened on Keating’s Behalf. “At Mr. Keating’s request, he wrote several letters to regulators, introduced legislation and helped secure the nomination of a Keating associate to a banking regulatory board. By early 1987, though, the thrift was careering toward disaster. Mr. McCain agreed to join several senators, eventually known as the Keating Five, for two private meetings with regulators to urge them to ease up.” [New York Times, 2/21/08]

Don’t try shifting the blame to McCain. I am sure that in his long career of public service he’s made mistakes as well.

Yep. A simple google search about the McCain S&L scandal will show a text with details virtually identical to that BS that your “source” gave to you. What is he or she saying now? Here it is Tuesday and nothing. Too bad. What a disappoinment
