Iran Losing Influence in Iraq
11 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq since Sunday and while this is tragic one thing is becoming crystal clear. Not only is the surge working, but Iran is losing influence in Iraq.
The way we know the surge is working is because the Iraqi government is now able to go after militants in Basra and expand its hold on the populace. The government has been having a hard time with its people who have seen the relative calm since the surge and their lack of political progress. As a result they’re finally doing something about the situation.
We know Iran is losing influence because last week when I trumpeted the surrender of al-Sadr forces people were saying that it was only because Iran brokered a ceasefire. Well, thousands are fleeing Basra and Baghda, 11 Americans were killed in one day, and many many Iraqis. Does this look sound like a ceasefire? Good job Iran. Their influence is slipping fast.
This is good news.
Where is the MSM on this one?
The same place they always are,
Bashing Bush Praising Obama.
Nice post!

Laura, we speak English around these parts. Now I translated what you said to mean “you are some children of prostitute because matais to the poor people and without money”. How dare you say that about my mother.
