Iron Man Movie Has a Screw Lose
I was really excited to see the Iron Man movie today. Finally, I thought this is a character I can relate to. A hard working arms dealer by day and a superhero by night. He’d take the fight to the Afghans both ways. Sadly, what we saw was 25 minutes of the cool Tony Stark and then he has a change of heart and becomes Alan Alda trying to run a weapons manufacturing company that doesn’t make weapons.
There were good parts to this movie. I cheered when Iron Man blew away the Islamic terrorists and I think that annoyed the people around me who were watching the movie quietly. Robert Downey plays a very believable alcoholic playboy and I was happy to see that at least the military was portrayed in a good light even if the arms dealers weren’t. I’m not as excited about the movie as I hoped I’d be, but I am not calling for a boycott.
I dont usually like “sci fi” stuff but I thoughr Ironman was pretty good
