Voters Are Supporting Obama Because of Race

with 9 comments

I have come close to suing Lucianne.com in the past because their logo is very close to my avatar.  However, I must admit they have an excellent article today about how black voters are supporting Barack Obama simply because he is black.  Bravo to Lucianne.com for saying what we all know, but people are too politically correct to say–that being black is a huge unfair advantage in national politics.  I’m suprised that neither of the major parties had thought to run a black candidate for President in the past considering how much easier the road is for them.

How do we know that black voters are supporting Obama only because he’s black?  Its simple math.  In 2004, John Kerry got only 88% of black voters.  It looks as though Obama is going to get 95%.  That means 7% of black people are voting for Obama that didn’t vote for Kerry.  The reason?  Quite obviously its race.

The problem for the McCain camp is that Obama is also white.  In 2004, John Kerry got 41% of the white vote while Obama is polling at 44%.  That means that 3% of white people are voting for Obama that didn’t vote for Kerry.  The reason?  Quite obviously its race.

By getting a big boost in black support because he’s half black and a big boost in white voters because he is half white Obama has a huge natural advantage that many Republicans like myself are now bemoaning.  I know McCain lives in Arizona.  Is there any chance he has some Native American blood in him?

  1. Or maybe it is because Obama was like the only one to stand up against the Iraq war when it was best not to. Maybe people are voting for him because of that since people nowadays are not in favor of the war.

Maybe it’s that Obama is more focus on helping the middle class than Kerry was, or maybe…..hell there is so many reason there could be that people are voting more on Obama than McCain or more than Kerry.

Is it just about race alone? I doubt it. If that was the case than Flavor Flav could have easily ran for President.

  4. And perhaps many, many more people are voting for McCain just because he is white. Either way, using color to determine who you vote for is ignorant and irresponsible. So, rascists who won’t vote for Obama because he is black are just as bad as a black who does vote for him soley because he is black.

We are electing the President of the United States and we need to be voting for the person we feel is best suited to carry us through these difficult times. To let color get in the way is just sad.

  6. I used Flavor Flav as an example because he became popular world wide with his reality show. Oprah’s audience (which is mostly white females) watched and loved his dysfunctional show. He is also a well popular figure in the black community from his rap years.

So if people are only voting for Obama because he is black (and not just blacks are voting for Obama on a record scale)so that means that Flavor Flav would have a good chance running for president even though he probably doesn’t know much about politics.

My point is is that people on the right/conservative are trying to dilute the fact that Obama is a well educated Senator not just education wise, but also government wise who has a better policy plan than McCain. With the assumption that people are only voting for Obama because he is black. They refuse to acknowledge Obama’s other attributes which could be why so many are voting for him.

  8. Ha! I knew it! Obama’s a racist! But for which race was it now? Followed you from Swift (who is, indeed, a tough act to follow). Count me in as a daily reader.

  9. Shannon, I believe as a person of mixed race, Obama is racist against all other races. My blog started just about the time Swift took a hiatus so I started having people ask me if I was him. I figured I should find out who this guy was and I must confess he is a right thinker just like I am.
