what a great suggestion, steve: a nate’s favorite things Christmas list would be awesome! thx to the afa website nate above, i’ll be passing out “It’s OK to Say MERRY CHRISTMAS!” (aka the plan they can’t ban) buttons at the thanksgiving table. i’m probably also going to order ben stein’s “EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed” anti-evolution dvd for the intellectuals on my list. a list of “favorites” would really be a big help, or even just some more sites with similarly gifty merchandise that i could be proud to put under the tree. i’m sure i’m not the only one that would be grateful for a little shopping guidance – how about it, nate? (the cross is beautiful, but some of my gift-ees live in apts or condos; it’s probably a bit much for indoor display.)

I have had a couple of polls on here. One was what state would put McCain over 270 electoral votes and another one was for a Presidential debate.

Well, I understand that, Steve. But since he would be the one formulating questions for the polls, that could easily be corrected. For instance, he could have a Proposition 8 poll right here with two options, Yes and Yes.

Because polls reflect a diversity of possible positions on a given issue. Nate only sees one possible position per issue. His.

You’re a riot, Nate. This post is still making me laugh out loud. It’s one of your best, in my humble opinion.
I agree, Steve, Nate should have a Christmas list. I was expecting to give him his present personally when he arrived in Brazil, but he seems to be adapting well to the Obama Recession.
Just wanted to let you know that I closed my poll yesterday. You know: the one where I asked my readers to vote on Proposition 8. 161 people voted, and the result was: 15% said YES, that “marriage is only recognized or valid if it’s between a man and a woman”, and 85% said NO. Brazilians seem to be more liberal than Californians. Or at least my readers do. Do you think they were confused by the question?
I’ve been thinking about this lately: Nate, why don’t you have polls here in your blog as well?

That’s Great Nate. I just thought of how that sounds. You know what you should do? Put out a Christmas list, like Oprah’s favorite things, but for Christian heterosexual Republican American families.

I think it would help all your readers. Don’t you agree Lola, Gina, beccyjoe, shannon and other fans of Nate. I know Christmas shopping can be hard on you little ladies.
