Congressman Kimble Reports on His Successful Town Hall

with 4 comments

Tonwhallreport

[I frankly had no ideas for what to write about today and by chance I noticed that Congressman Jack Kimble (R-CA) had reported on his succssful town hall today.  As a service to our readers here it is.  I'm sure I'll have my own article on something or another tomorrow]

I was a little worried when I hosted my town hall meeting on health care yesterday. I had heard a lot about the lunatic fringe who had been disrupting town halls and it made me very grateful I had hired several members of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang to provide security for the meeting.

The main point of my town hall was to explain to people that health care was too important a decision to be left to ACORN and illegal immigrants like it undoubtedly would be in the Obama plan. Furthermore, I wanted to let my constituents know that I was 100% against killing senior citizens so that we might harvest their organs regardless of what the Obama administration might or might not want. I let my people know that neither myself nor any Republican member of Congress I knew supported:

1. Euthanizing senior citizens in order to harvest their organs
2. Using tax payer money for cosmetic surgery for illegal aliens
3. Using health reform as a backdoor way to a socialist government or slavery reparations
4. Eliminating medicare in favor of hospice care for all Americans over 55

I think that really helped put the many seniors in the audience at ease. Of course, the crazies did come out in full force. When they’d get on mic they’d say things like “I can’t afford health care” or “I have a pre-existing condition” or “Why do we spend so much for a health care system that doesn’t work?” Fortunately, the Hell’s Angels were right on it–shutting them down before they could monopolize the discussion away from more important topics like how President Obama wanted to use this program to stop senior citizens from driving.  My favorite was one crazy woman demanding to know what plans I had for covering her family.  I told her my plan was for her to get a job.  She didn’t even laugh at that.

I was most impressed with the patriotic fervor of the crowd. We said the Pledge of Allegiance 8 times and sang the Star Spangled Banner twice. Best of all, I wasn’t hung in effigy. I’m very lucky to be representing such a God fearing district and I look forward to serving them for years to come.

McCain to Eliminate Social Security

with 6 comments

Yesterday on CNN John McCain reiterated his bold position on social security that he first espoused at a town hall meeting on Monday.  McCain called the entire program a “disgrace” and called for its absolution.  According to McCain, “Americans have got to understand that we are paying present-day retirees with the taxes paid by young workers in America today. And that’s a disgrace. It’s an absolute disgrace, and it’s gotta be fixed.”

I applaud John McCain not only for taking a bold stance against the present form of social security where the young pay for the cushy retirements of the old, but for running for President at 71 as a way of financing his old golden years.  As I have pointed out elsewhere, only Barack Obama could successfully repeal the civil rights act and likewise only John McCain may have the credibility to end social security.

So if the elderly don’t have their retirement financed by the young workers of this country who should foot the bill?  The answer is the elderly themselves.  Many of our biggest employers in this company from Walmart to McDonalds to Burger King hire and value older workers.  For the more educated seniors there is always consulting work or running for public office.  It is about time a Presidential candidate had the courage to confront this entitlement program.

Those Lie-beral McCain Attacks on Iraq

with one comment

Those attacks on McCain for saying that we’ll be in Iraq for 100 years are starting to have an effect–they’re pissing me off.  This is a deliberate attack on the man by taking his words out of context.  No matter how bitter elections are, this is a dirty trick that the Republicans refuse to do, but the Democrats seem to care less about integrity than winning elections.

First McCain said we’d be in 100 years in a South Korea type fashion.  Within the next year or two the people in the Middle East will stop shooting at us.  The tensions will die down and the middle east will have a period of peace and prosperity.  Many of the countries will adopt Chistianity and we will be grateful we didn’t cut and run.  This is not a 100 year war McCain is talking about.  Its a presence like we have in South Korea.

People like to point out the economic costs of a war that goes on in Iraq for 100 years, but once again McCain is talking about a 100 year occupation like South Korea not a war.  According to the Congressional Budget Office the cost of this occupation would only be only $3,000,000,0000,000 for the next 77 years.  To some of you that may sound like a lot, but keep in mind during that time our social security shortfall is supposed to be $4,300,000,000,000.  We need to ask ourselves what’s more important–peace and freedom in the middle east or continuing this social security gravy train for seniors too lazy or too stupid to save when they were younger.

I call on any members of the Democratic Party with any honor left to stop these false and misleading campaign commercials.  This is not the kind of high minded debate oriented election the Republicans want to engage in and I would hope that as Americans you would be better than this too.
