GOP’s Can Do Spirit in Foreign Policy

leave a comment »

The best thing about being a Republican is sometimes hard to put a finger on.  I enjoy the moral superiority of my political positions as much as the next guy and Republican women are out of sight.   They don’t call it Fox News for nothing if you know what I mean.   However, I think the best thing about being a Republican is that we are the party of self-reliance.  We believe in pulling ourselves up by own own bootstraps and that is also the American spirit.   Nowhere do I see this Republican can do spirit as clearly as in the area of foreign policy.

  • Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) is in Honduras in order to give his support to the junta who recently launched a coup against a leftists President.  This is the kind of guts that Obama and the other countries in the region have lacked in their condemnation of seizing government power by force.
  • Senator Jim Inhoffe (R-OK) who I recently described as one of our best hopes against the forces of science hoping to undermine our country’s values is going to Copenhagen to present the other side on the global warming debate.
  • House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) traveled to Israel where he spoke out against President Obama’s opposition to expanding settlements.
  • Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) boasted in June that he told Chinese officials  not to trust America’s budget numbers. “One of the messages I had — because we need to build trust and confidence in our number one creditor,” said Kirk, “is that the budget numbers that the US government had put forward should not be believed.”
  • Sarah Palin (R-?) recently gave a speech in Hong Kong where she criticized America’s foreign policy in a wide variety of issues.

As you can see, we’ve stopped waiting for the Obama presidency to make foreign policy decisions for us.  We’ve taken the initiative and we’re making our own more sensible foreign policy.  This is exciting, but I believe we can do much more and we must.   As a party, we must join together to issue an extremely strongly worded ultimatum to both Iran and North Korea that we are through pussyfooting around and we will not accept their continued nuclear threat.  We should let them know that if they do not back down we will hire an army of military contractors to crush their petty regimes.

Furthermore, it is time for us to let the rest of the world know we are done apologizing.   Obama has his embassies in other countries, we should have our own embassies too.   Let the other countries in the world know that we will be conducting our own foreign policy from now on.   Most of the military is Republican regardless of what they tell you and you know that they will follow us.  If we want more troops in Afghanistan, let’s just ask the troops and tell them it’s for the GOP.  This is the vision our founding fathers had for this democracy where know man shall have his foreign policy dictated to him by an unjust tyrant, but shall create his own foreign policy with other like minded individuals.

Palin Cleared of All Wrongdoing

with 5 comments

In breaking news that is seen as extremely good news for the McCain-Palin campaign, Sarah Palin has been cleared of all wrongdowing in troopergate by the McCain-Palin campaign.  In a report issued on Thursday night the campaign concluded that Sarah Palin in no way abused her power as Governor.

John McCain’s running mate is the subject of a legislative investigation into whether she abused her power as governor by firing her public safety commissioner. The commissioner, Walter Monegan, says he was dismissed in July for resisting pressure from Palin’s husband, Todd Palin, and numerous top aides to fire state trooper Mike Wooten, Palin’s former brother-in-law.  However, the campaign sided with Palin and felt that Monegans claims were without merit.

The campaign instead suggested a blogger by the name of Andrew Halcro had published false accusations leading to suspcions of Palin’s behavior.  As a blogger myself, I reallize the great responsibility I have to only publish facts and campaign approved talking points.  The fact that a fellow blogger would abuse his power thusly is sickening.

It is indeed great news that the McCain-Palin campaign has finally pardonned Sarah.  This should free her up to give her usual 110% in combating Barack Hussein Obama and his lies and slander now that she has this ugly situation behind her.

Palin Rallies Revitalize Nation

with one comment

There is something powerful sweeping this country.  Sarah Palin has been delivering fiery speeches which have been moving people in a way I’ve never seen before.  People pick out the quotes of “kill him” from the crowd directed at Obama, but these are speeches of immense power filled with the values that have made America great.  Sarah had been shy around the press at first, but since her amazing performance of debating Joe Biden for the full 90 minutes she has been making the rounds.  Any undecided voters watching Fox News or listenning to conservative talk radio will definitely be taking another look at the Obama/Palin team.

It is way too easy for people to get lost in the race baiting or personal attacks and ignore the way that Sarah Palin reaches the people in the crowd.  Some people call her hypnotic.  We are very lucky to have a woman of such stature on our ticket.  Of course the mainstream media would never admit this.  They’re too busy judging the racial views of her audience.

Live Blogging of Vice-Presidential Debate

with 30 comments

I am ready with another dozen doughnuts and many many Mountan Dews to begin live blogging the VP debate.  I’m on my laptop so my typing may suffer.  As always, I have on my Matt Druge reporter hat to put me in the proper journalistic feel.   The debate is in 20 minutes.  I hope you’ll join me for Sarah’s big coming out party.  Biden is going to be slidin’ after tonight.

8:00 – Gwen Ifill is black?  Wow. Who knew?

8:02 – I can call you Betty, and Betty when you call me, you can call me Joe.

8:03 Ifill just plagiarized Charles Dickens

8:04 Biden is already hiding behind Obama.  Why not tell us what YOU think?

8:05 Aw Sarah just mentioned soccer moms.  I love this woman.  John McCain warned everybody 2 years ago about Freddie and Fannie and remains so concerned with the situation that he made sure he had several of their lobbyists on his staff.

8:06 What did Sarah mean that John McCain was putting aside “obsessive politics”

8:08 The fundamentals of the economy is strong because the American workers are strong.  USA #1!!!

8:09 Sarah makes a great point–we need something new.  Somebody like John McCain.

8:10 Sarah is reaching out to both “Joe Six Pack” and the “Soccer moms”.  We all need to be frugal like the Palins.  By working from home, Sarah was able to bill the state of Alaska for thousands of per diem money.  That’s being frugal.

8:12 Biden just called Contingencies (a magazine for actuaries) a major magazine.

8:14 Wow!  Sarah just said that Obama stopped wanting to raise taxes on people making $42,000 in 2008.  He should have made that public.

8:16 Wasilla’s taxes went down.  That’s good to know.  I had heard they went way up after she built that big hockey rink on land the city didn’t own.

8:18 Its nice that the Palins still consider themselves middle class despite making more money per year than Biden’s net worth.

8:19 Sarah chose to defend McCain’s health program.  Way to go.

8:22 What is Biden talking about?  McCain wouldn’t tax our employer health program.

8:23 Biden couldn’t say characterize–Point Palin!

8:23 Sarah told the oil companies no more greed in her state.  You go girl!  Thank goodness we had Sarah to stop Barack Obama’s tax increase.

8:26 Biden doesn’t think Exxon deserves a $4,000,000,000 tax cut?  Who is he to say?

8:28 I applaud John McCain for suspending his campaign and Sarah Palin for suspending her television appearances to solve the budget crisis.

8:30 I really love the way Sarah answers her own own questions and doesn’t let the moderator bully her into answering the questions she asked.

8:31 She has so much more arctic experience than the other two candidates.

8:32 There are other countries that care less about the environment than we do?  I had no idea.

8:35 Biden doesn’t have the chant right.  That’s why Sarah is such a good cheerleader.  I was worried that with her pageant experience she wouldn’t be ready for a second question.  She’s kicking his butt.

8:37 Biden will never get anywhere if he keeps answering the moderator’s questions.  Palin is so much sharper.

8:38 Sarah would not want to cheapen marriage.  I can’t wait until Bristol marries her baby daddy.  There’s talk about this happenning in the next month.

8:40  It is nice to know that we have gays to support both parties.

8:42 Why would anybody support the Iraqis on a proposal to withdraw our troops from Iraq?  Aren’t they shooting at us?

8:44 What have Obama’s daughters done for the troops in Iraq?

8:45 How would anybody know Sunis and Shi’ites don’t get along?

8:47 If we are building schools in Pakistan we better institute No Child Left Behind

8:48 “And Iran, Iran’s so far away…I couldn’t get away”–I love how she says Iran.

8:50 It is nice to see us Republicans taking on our traditional roles as the defenders of tolerance and women’s rights.

8:51 We’re going to be taking our allies with for any talks (I think that’s Canada, Georgia, Costa Rica, Israel, and Poland)

8:52 Sarah advocates a two state solution for the Palestinians.  If she can live seeing Russia from her kitchen table, the Israelis should be able to live with that too.

8:55 Wow! Finally Palin calls out Obama-Biden on their constant negative attacks.

8:57 You can see Ifill’s left wing bias here.  She keeps asking questions to get Palin to say “nuculer”

8:58 How can the surge not work in Afghanistan if it worked in Iraq?

9:01 It sounds like our surge strategy was taken from our Vietnam strategy.

9:03 I am really impressed.  McCullough not only wrote the best Truman book, he’s replaced McKiernan as army commander in Iraq.

9:04 “It is so obvious I’m a Washington outsider”  — Touche Sarah!

9:06 Biden says “lockstep with Dick Cheney” as if it is a bad thing.

9:07 John McCain knows how to win a war from his time in Vietnam and Biden and Obama can’t touch that.

9:08 I really think “what happens if Obama dies” is not only a legitimate question, but just increased ratings in several states.

9:10 A team of Mavericks.  I like the sound of it.

9:11 I like how Palin goes after government for both not getting out of the way of people and inactivity.  Those are my two pet peeves too.

9:12  “Say it ain’t so..Dogonit”  I think that’s our memorable quote of the night.

9:13  Palin again–Nice!!  Teachers get their “reward in Heaven” and we need to make them more accountable or they’ll get less of it.

9:16  Yes!  She agrees with Palin that the VP isn’t part of the executive brach.  Take that Mrs. Fanuco.  I should have got that right on the Constitution test.

9:18   The VP was more involved in the Legislative branch before that John Adams annoyed everybody.

9:19   Sarah hunts moose.  I don’t see why she’d need health insurance.  I doubt she has any limbs she couldn’t just saw off with a rusty tin can and a bottle of bourbon if the need arose.

9:21  Nice job with the maverick, but we only have 9 more minutes for a POW reference.  Not everybody knows he was a POW because he’s so hesitant to admit it.  You need to do it.

9:23 Romney is supporting McCain now?  Awesome

9:24 Biden keeps spitting out numbers.  When is he going to learn you don’t win debates with facts.

9:27 Come on Sarah–Say POW.

9:28 Biden loved Jesse Helms too.  It speaks to what a great man he was.

9:29 This explains why Sarah appointed so many of her former classmates–they weren’t all Republicans and she needed people she could trust.

9:30 Nice job on Sarah’s part on pointing out that America’s only thought she blew her interview because Couric told her that.  In Alaska you probably have longer sunset years.  Summer lasts like 6 months.

9:31 We’re overtime.  They should just start playing Biden off like they do at the Academy Awards.

Sarah so kicked his ass!!  What did you all think?

The New Face of the Republican Party

with 5 comments

While most Veteran groups like the VFW and the Vietnam Veterans of America prefer Obama to McCain, there is one exception.

Hoping to get a robust turnout in St. Louis to protest the Vice-Presidential debate, Vets for Freedom is resorting to offering local college fraternities hundreds of dollars if their members come and hold signs.

Vets for Freedom field staffer Laura Meyer offered a fraternity at St. Louis University a “sizable donation” – plus free lunch – if it could use their pledges to demonstrate outside the VP debate.

“I was emailing you today,” wrote Meyer, “because I am trying to find people who would be willing to hold up signs for a few hours in the afternoon this Thursday outside the VP debate site. It’s only for a few hours and you can gain a lot from it…. first off, lunch for any guys who agree to volunteer will be on me. Secondly, they will get lots of media attention! My organization did a similar thing in Mississippi last week and a ton of them were on TV. Meaning, the guys could wear their [REDACTED] gear while holding up our signs and get attention for their frat. Also, they will get to hang out with a bunch of really cool Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans.

“Lastly, and here’s the kicker…. if you guys can get us at least 20 volunteers for those few hours, my organization will make a sizable donation to your fraternity. If you use pledges you could look at it as ‘free money and free publicity’. If this sounds like something you may be willing to help us out with, please let me know ASAP!”

Boy, does that bring back memories of my own carefree college days.    I applaud the Veterans for Freedom for coming up with a new way to degrade pledges now that so many colleges have cracked down on hazing.  This is a strategy that more of us Republicans should look into because there is no better demonstration of trickledown economics than hiring somebody else to do it for us.

Obama Campaign Workers Make Foreign Video

with 2 comments

Well, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to find that the Obama staff love the French and love show tunes, but the recent video made at an Obama campaign headquarters is a new low.  No wonder Obama is losing so badly.  Don’t these people do any work?  I also thought it was extremely senseless and disrespectful to have two of them pretend to be Palin and McCain.  McCain was a POW I’ll have you know.  Did anybody else catch the black power salute at the end?  Not surprising at all.  I do give them credit for their voices, but the message is about as elitist as you can get.  Who even goes to see live theatre anymore?  I also caught a flub at the end of the video.  It says it was recorded November 3, 2008.  That date is nearly 2 months in the future.  Real smart Obamabots.

Hey Barack, What About the Rest of Us?

leave a comment »

Barack Obama is proud of the fact that for people making under $200,000 there will be a tax cut under his tax plan.  He even has Business Week buying into this garbage.  “It’s just flat wrong” to say people would do worse under Obama, says Len Burman a Senior Fellow at the Urban Institute  “Most lower- and middle-class people would pay less taxes under Obama than they would under the proposals being put forth by McCain.”

The problem is that it doesn’t take into account middle income people like me who make over $250,000 a year.  McCain will save me a lot of money that I am more than willing to trickle on those less fortunate than myself by tipping well, buying more luxuries, driving a bigger car, and generally spreading it around the economy.  Those who benefit from the Obama tax cuts will spend it on things like food, rent, and medical care–things that they had to buy anyway.

If Obama gets elected I will probably have to give up my Cherokee and get some small car that gets at least 15 miles to the gallon.  I am not the only one in this boat too.  We cannot allow somebody like Obama to take our hard earned money to spread it around to working stiffs and seniors making less than $50,000.

Uppity Obama’s Disrespectful Attitude

with 3 comments

Barack Obama has crossed the line lately in his mudslinging campaign against John McCain and Sarah Palin.  Recently, he referred to Sarah Palin as a liar simply because she told a couple falsehoods on the campaign trail.  Maybe she was for the Bridge to Nowhere.  Maybe she was against it.  Maybe she was a reformer. Maybe she hired a lobbyist with ties to Jack Abramoff to get more pork for her state.  Who is to say?

The important thing is that by calling a woman like Sarah Palin a liar, he’s getting uppity.  He’s acting in a way that really isn’t acceptable for somebody of his station.  As the McCain campaign made it perfectly clear, Sarah Palin is to be treated with “deference.”

What Obama has failed to reallize is that women like Sarah Palin is the blushing flower of American womanhood.  We must protect women from people like Obama who would disrespect them.  Some people believe this is a tactice to get Hillary supporters to come to Palin’s defense, but I think this defense will play very well in the South too.  Afterall, they used to use it themselves a lot.

Its Been a Great Election for the Republicans

leave a comment »

I really didn’t think we could do it.  With the economy, two wars, the energy crisis, and so on I figured we were dead in the water, but with Karl Rove working his magic we somehow find outselves back on top where we belong.  I made a montage to celebrate.

McCain Reads That’s Right Nate!

with 5 comments

Wow! I don’t know what to say.  It is apparent to me that John McCain or at least one of his closest advisers who is savvy about the internets is reading this blog.  Way back in April, I talked about Obama’s vote in support of teaching sex ed to kindergartners.  Today, the McCain campaign has launched an ad attacking Obama for exactly that.  I mean come on, kindergarten.  There is no reason that kids in today’s society can’t wait until they’re 16 or 17 and get married like Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol.  I cannot express how honored I am that the McCain campaign has been listening.
