The Nate Peele Scholarship Foundation

with 9 comments

diplomaI was watching Pat Buchanon tonight and though he is an MSNBC liberal, he occasionally makes a good point.   Tonight, he mentioned that white Christian males are underrepresented in the Ivy League.  I heard this and I was floored.   Recently, my article on reverse racism drew a lot of comments about the decline of white males, but here it was confronting me in black and white.   Frankly, my social consciousness was raised.   I immediately checked out the internet and found out that Pat Buchanon was right.

As Edmund Connelly of the Occidental Observer points out, “the America system is not broken; it is being very deliberately manipulated to dispossess whites of the country they built.”   This is not what our forefathers had in mind when they were building the railroads to California, picking cotton in the hot Alabama sun, or marched for worker rights like a 40 hour week.   They made these sacrifices so that they could leave this country to their white Christian male sons.   After 200 years of handing down the White Hous from white  father to white son (Literally in the case of the Bush and Adams Families), we lost that most ivory of all perks.  If white Christian males are not allowed into the Ivy League institutions that are supposed to exclude others, how will we hold onto our place in society.   It won’t be long before they will be hanging curtains at the Skull and Bones.

As Connelly continues, “We’ve all see how tenacious Jews can be in their various efforts to advance Jewish group interests. We need to be equally as aggressive, confrontational, and even belligerent if necessary.”  I couldn’t agree more.   If we don’t act soon,  we will barely be making 115% of what other races make.  I did a search on google and discovered that there are 3,750 results for “Jewish scholarships” on google.   There were no results for “white Christian male scholarships”.  I am happy to announce that I am changing that with the Nate Peele Scholarship Foundation.   The Nate Peele scholarship will be awarded to deserving white Christian males enrolling in Ivy League institutions.   The only other caveat is that I don’t want the scholarship to produce another egghead like John Kerry so I will only award it to Physical Education majors.

Now I know some of you are wondering, what can you do with a physical education degree?   Need I remind you that Dennis Hastert became Speaker of the House and his wasn’t even an Ivy League Degree.  This probably won’t be a very large scholarship at first, but with time you never know.   If you are interested in applying for the scholarship please email thatsrightnate@aol.com for an application.  Remember, only you can prevent diversity.

Hey Calm Down on that Whole Race Thing

Did the NBA give Michael Jordan special treatment because they wanted a black star?

Did the NBA give Michael Jordan special treatment because they wanted a black star?

I had thought we put this whole race thing behind us when Barrack Obama was elected President of the United States, but apparently the topic refuses to die.  Race is obviously a very important topic to me as my own father marched with King when he was in Chicago.   Unfortunately, despite all the progress that has been made in the area, we still have people like Attorney General Eric Holder who refuse to let it go.  According to a speech Holder gave yesterday that “we are a nation of cowards” when it comes to discussing the “awkward and painful” subject of race relations in our country.

Like many of my colleagues on the right, I take umbrage at what Mr. Holder says.  I have always been forthright about race relations and I stood up to the principal of my high school when he refused to let the school newspaper run the article I wrote about the only reason Michael Jordan was getting so much attention was because the NBA wanted a black star.  Nobody in this country knows more about racism than white people do.  We first came to this country in 1492, while African-Americans didn’t start making the journey in large numbers for nearly 200 years.  That meant that we had time to establish the beginnings of American civilization before adding another race into the mix.  That allows us to see the issue of race with greater clarity. And let me say that we white people are not cowardly.

It was none other than former Republican Senator George Allen who spoke at the Capital Hill Club (An integrated club I might add) today and said, “I grew up in a football family.  In sports, what you have is a level playing field…you don’t care about race, all you care about is who can help you win.  Team America has to have that competitive spirit!”  I believe the Republican party is the steroids that can help take us to the next level.  African-Americans need to look at why they’re so accepted in sports and entertainment and then try to apply those qualities to other areas of life.  Perhaps, a friendly game of basketball or a musical number could be the key to that next promotion.

What white America is concerned about is the Department of Justice.  Under President Bush, the department has spent the last 8 years protecting conservative values and made fighting voter fraud a top priority.  This approach led to an astounding 13 convictions in just 8 years of time.  Now Holder is talking about using the Department of Justice to “lead the nation to the new birth of freedom so long ago promised by our greatest President.”  I have a feeling that Reagan may have been taken out of context, but regardless that kind of talk is frightening.   Fox News’ Megyn Kelly rightfully says, “that strikes fear down the spines of many conservatives in this country.”

Like many conservatives, she fears that Obama will bring us back to the time when decisions like Brown vs. the Board of Education put the federal government into states rights issues.  If every perceived slight or systematic segregation leads to a Department of Justice lawsuit, where will we be.  As the lovely Miss Kelly put it, “a lot of us thought that the Bush Justice Department sort of got us back to the point where we were being reasonable.”  I couldn’t agree more.  It doesn’t matter where you’re sitting on this bus, we’re all going to the same place.

Voters Are Supporting Obama Because of Race

with 9 comments

I have come close to suing Lucianne.com in the past because their logo is very close to my avatar.  However, I must admit they have an excellent article today about how black voters are supporting Barack Obama simply because he is black.  Bravo to Lucianne.com for saying what we all know, but people are too politically correct to say–that being black is a huge unfair advantage in national politics.  I’m suprised that neither of the major parties had thought to run a black candidate for President in the past considering how much easier the road is for them.

How do we know that black voters are supporting Obama only because he’s black?  Its simple math.  In 2004, John Kerry got only 88% of black voters.  It looks as though Obama is going to get 95%.  That means 7% of black people are voting for Obama that didn’t vote for Kerry.  The reason?  Quite obviously its race.

The problem for the McCain camp is that Obama is also white.  In 2004, John Kerry got 41% of the white vote while Obama is polling at 44%.  That means that 3% of white people are voting for Obama that didn’t vote for Kerry.  The reason?  Quite obviously its race.

By getting a big boost in black support because he’s half black and a big boost in white voters because he is half white Obama has a huge natural advantage that many Republicans like myself are now bemoaning.  I know McCain lives in Arizona.  Is there any chance he has some Native American blood in him?

Obama Must Reach Out to Racists

with 4 comments

In both the West Virginia and Kentucky Democrat primaries it was revealed that in 1/5 of the votes cast race played a role.  Keep in mind that these were Democrat primaries where the most liberal people in the states voted.  Far be it from me to give advice to Barrack Hussein Obama, but Kentucky and West Virginia are states Obama needs.  He’s also having trouble in all states with older people who were born while Jim Crow laws were still in effect.

On this blog, I  have already implored Obama to distance himself from the hate speech of Reverend Wright and Martin Luther King (http://thatsrightnate.wordpress.com/2008/05/14/obama-must-distance-himself-from-black-church/), but at this point I don’t think that is enough.  Obama must capture the racist vote if he is to win the presidency.  It won’t be easy for a black man to emerge as the choice of racist America, but anybody who has seen the hilarious Cleavon Little in Blazing Saddles knows it isn’t impossible.

In order to win over racists, Obama must come up with an issue they will get behind no matter who is pushing it.  Obama must come out for repealing the 1964 Civil Rights Act.  This law which created the EEOC and outlawed segregation in this country has long been a bone of contention among racists.  It took a Southern in Lyndon Johnson to get it passed.   It would take an African-American to get it repealed.  McCain who was a staunch opponent of the Martin Luther King holiday would be unable to take a similiar position over fear of losing the moderates that he needs to win.

Now don’t get me wrong.  The KKK has already endorsed McCain (http://thatsrightnate.wordpress.com/2008/05/12/obama-hamas-kkk-endorsements/).  Obama is never going to get racists to embrace him as one of their own.  However, a grudging respect and their votes would probably be worth a lot more to Obama at this time. Old habits die hard, but by playing ball Obama can change a lot of minds among those people like the voters in Kentucky and West Virginia who think they could never vote for a black man.

We’re Becoming a Nation of Losers

with one comment

In a recent game between Central Washington and Western Oregon or maybe it was Central Oregon and Western Washington, a player hit a homerun and then injured herself jogging around the bases (No doubt patting herself on the back).  The other team carried her around the bases.  It is sad enough to see women attempting to play sports, but at this rate it won’t be long until they’re knitting a cozy for the dugout bench.  Sports should be played by hard nosed men who cause injuries not tend to them.

Then Hussein Obama was on Letterman last night making light of his lack of skill bowling.  He should be hiding his head in shame.  Nixon actually had a bowling alley put into the White House.  No American presidential contender should be unable to bowl and if they are that terrible they should be living in shame and not in self-depricating humor.

Finally, a news story this morning says that 58% of black children can’t swim.    This is despite the fact that whites only pools and beaches haven’t been around for over 40 years.    While blacks do have less buoyancy han whites, this issue can be overcome with proper technique.  There is no reason for this lack of swimmers among our black population.  This does leave water polo scholarships available for white college atheletes who were unable to earn a scholarship in say baseball or football, but it deprives the navy and marines of many potential recruits.

America, we need to go back to winning.  A quitter never wins and a winner never quits.  Witout some drastic changes we will fall behind the rest of the world.

McCain Reaches Out to Black Voters

with 3 comments

If you listen to the mainstream media you may think that Barrack Hussein Obama is the only candidate that can speak for the African-American population in this country, but as many black Republicans will tell you, there is another voice

This past week John McCain went to heart of segregation and as you can see in the above picture delivered a speech. Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala. – one of the most important sites in the civil rights movement. The savage beating of voting rights marchers on “Bloody Sunday” in 1965 helped lead to passage of the Voting Rights Act.  If anybody can bridge the racial divide in this country I believe that man is John McCain.

If you look to the right of John McCain’s nose there is a man in a gray shirt.  Next to him I believe is an African-American woman and she seems very excited by what McCain is saying.  It is good to see a Republican reaching out to these voters and hopefully she will go home and tell her friends about McCain and his message of hope.

The Audacity of Arrogance

with one comment

Obama’s speech in Philadelphia has me thinking and what it has me thinking is “How dare he?”  He is totally detached from the world I live in and it shows.  If I remember it was Obama who was in trouble, but this is what Obama says in his speech:

“But for all those who scratched and clawed their way to get a piece of the American Dream, there were many who didn’t make it – those who were ultimately defeated, in one way or another, by discrimination. That legacy of defeat was passed on to future generations – those young men and increasingly young women who we see standing on street corners or languishing in our prisons, without hope or prospects for the future. Even for those blacks who did make it, questions of race, and racism, continue to define their worldview in fundamental ways. For the men and women of Reverend Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years. That anger may not get expressed in public, in front of white co-workers or white friends. But it does find voice in the barbershop or around the kitchen table”

Sorry Barack, but I just don’t buy it.  I’m really supposed to believe that there is this resentment bubbling up in the African-American community towards white America.  I’m supposed to accept that there is some deep seeded feeling of being a victim of prejudice that African-Americans feel?  I’m sorry I don’t buy it.  Don’t try deflecting your problems by deflecting it towards all blacks.  You really think Condaleeza Rice feels that way?  I don’t.

“a similar anger exists within segments of the white community. Most working- and middle-class white Americans don’t feel that they have been particularly privileged by their race. Their experience is the immigrant experience – as far as they’re concerned, no one’s handed them anything, they’ve built it from scratch. They’ve worked hard all their lives, many times only to see their jobs shipped overseas or their pension dumped after a lifetime of labor. They are anxious about their futures, and feel their dreams slipping away; in an era of stagnant wages and global competition, opportunity comes to be seen as a zero sum game, in which your dreams come at my expense. So when they are told to bus their children to a school across town; when they hear that an African American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college because of an injustice that they themselves never committed; when they’re told that their fears about crime in urban neighborhoods are somehow prejudiced, resentment builds over time.”

Oh puh-lease.  White people don’t feel this way.  We know that everybody is equal and we relish our black friends.  Nobody in the white community feels that way either.  There was a show about 20 years ago starring Bill Cosby about a family called the Huxtables.  They were true to their blackness and frequently had jazz musicians over to visit, but they were also very well asimilated into mainstream American culture.  That is what we can all aspire to.

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh lord, why dont we?
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in evryone,
We learn to live, we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive.

Top 20 Women in Civil Rights? I Don’t Think So

with 6 comments

The Smithsonian is launching a new travelling exhibit called Freedom’s Sisters that looks at 20 women who were important in the Civil Rights Movement :::Yawn:::.  I mean yeah that’s a great idea, but these women were chosen in a completely biased and partisan way as usual.  Out of 20 women, there are no Conservatives, no Republicans, and let’s not forget no white people, or men who also served important roles in the Civil Rights movement and judging by the picture were the main people to go to the exhibit.  If you want to be all-encompassing let me suggest adding some modern crusaders.

TJ Baker Holm – She’s a librarian as well as an avid quilter.  She’s a top political journalist with her show “The Constitution on WTP Public Access–This year Texans in the 18th District will have a chance to elect her to Congress.  You go girl.

Dr. Ada M. Fisher – She’s a medical doctor who published a booklet on terrorism.  She was largely responsible for the use of tape in homeland security for fighting biological and chemical attacks. She served as Medical Director for Amoco and she’s running for Congress in North Carolina.

Dr. Condaleeza Rice - Other than meow what more really needs to be said.  Dr. Rice is the Secretary of State.  How about all she’s done?

Or are we just going to spend all our time congradulating the same liberal icons who sat on the wrong seat on a bus or gave a little speech or something.  How about the people who made real change?

Ferraro Was Right

with one comment

I mentioned before in my article http://thatsrightnate.wordpress.com/2008/03/12/ferraro-steps-down/ that Ferraro had a point.  With Obama having a 25% chance to get the nomination as a black candidate vs. the much longer odds for a white candidate.  However, you also have to remember that as this country seems determined to have an African American presidential candidate this time around Obama gains tremendously from the disproportionate percentage of African-Americans in prison or poverty.  If he were white he would not stand out as much among more people of priviledge.

Put another way, there are 100 senators.  One of them is black–Obama.  That means of the blacks in senate 100% are now major candidates for President.  There are about 95 white senators I’m guessing.  Of those, only 2 are legitimate major party presidential candidates are roughly 2%.  That means Obama has a 50 times better chance as a black senator than any white senator would.

Obama benefits from getting an overwhelming percentage of black supporters.  Look at the picture on the left and you can see 6 African-Americans in Obama’s crowd.  That is huge.  That crowd and in fact most of Obama’s crowds would look a lot smaller if you took out the black faces.   I’m glad Ferraro had to step down, but simple math tells us she made a good point.
